Monthly if you have a smart meter, quarterly if not.

 

Your bill frequency depends on how often we receive a meter reading from your metering provider.

Basic meters

If your meter is manually-read, we'll receive the data from your distribution company every three months. We'll send a bill within a few days of receiving valid data.

As three months is a long duration we suggest you pay a fixed amount each fortnight or month so that when your bill arrives, it's a top up-type bill rather than one for a quarter of a year's usage. You can set up a fixed payment plan here

Smart meters

If you have a smart meter with remote communications, we'll get meter reads almost every day and we'll send you a bill every month - a bit like a mobile phone bill.
